Barberama! is a women’s a cappella chorus based in Newton Regis near Tamworth.

Barberama is a women’s community chorus specialising in four-part unaccompanied harmony sung in the barbershop style.

Our rehearsals are full of laughter and fun – friendship is as much a part of our choir as the singing itself, and we all love to sing. So whether we are learning fantastic, traditional barbershop numbers or some of the wonderful contemporary song arrangements, we are all spurred on by the prospect of producing a sound that’s strong, inspiring, and a joy to hear.

We practise all year round with breaks in the summer and at Christmas, and we make a point of putting in place a number of shows each year. We often appear for free at fundraising events to help raise money for good causes and more recently, we have started to run our own shows.

Our membership is growing and currently stands at 30 people, but we are always looking for new people to join our group, so if you are interested in finding out more, see our Join Us page, or contact the chorus director Lyn.
