Welcome, leading ladies!

Since the summer we have welcomed three new leads into our ranks, taking us up to 27 members in total. Jude, Julie and Chris have all fitted well into the general madness that is Barberama and it’s great to have them come along and join us!

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that we started with just a handful of keen local women and now we grow in strength with every year that passes, and are proud to welcome members from as far afield as Sutton Coldfield, Barton Under Needwood, Coalville and Amington.

Each year we plan a number of concerts; our most recent was at Lichfield’s Wade Street Church in aid of the NSPCC when over £760 was raised with our help.

Come along and join us! Barberama rehearsals

Come along and join us!

The photo above shows us singing at a 2017 choir festival. We had such a great time. You can see the enjoyment on our faces – in fact there’s always so much fun and friendship flowing that sometimes it’s hard to fit the singing in! if you think you would like to join us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are always looking for new members and we are particularly keen to welcome anyone in the lower voice range.

We always provide learning tracks so that members can practise at home, and we get together once a week to fine tune the songs and polish up our performance. New members don’t have to sing until they feel ready and are encouraged to learn at their own pace.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at Newton Regis Village Hall, Austrey Lane, Newton Regis, Tamworth, between 7.30 and 9.30pm. Just come along or call Lyn for more information on 01827 830274.
